    Badger Mountain Elementary

    Choir

    Bobcat Choir is open to all 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders. We will meet Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 8:00-8:40am. Depending on participation, we may need to adjust this schedule. We will begin rehearsals on Tuesday, September 25th. Our first performance will be at the Veteran's Assembly. Additional performances have not yet been scheduled for the 2018-19 school year; however, the plan is to do a holiday concert, the District Showcase (Feb 26th), as well as a spring program.

    Kids of Steel

    Kids of Steel is our Badger Mountain steel drum band comprised of 4th and 5th Graders. Kids of Steel will meet on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings from 8:00-8:40am. PLEASE NOTE THAT REHEARSALS ARE BEFORE SCHOOL. (Patrol kids will have to arrange for afternoon patrol only.) Kids of Steel is an audition based group, and an application is required. Applications can be picked up in the music room, the school office, or simply click the link below. Applications are DUE: Wednesday, September 12th.     Orchestra

    Badger Mountain orchestra is open to any students from 4th and 5th grade who wishes to learn to play a string instrument. Badger Mountain's orchestra program has a history of excellence and many of our students carry their studies into middle school and high school. It is a great and friendly way to start to learn with experienced and caring staff. We meet 4 days a week (Monday-Thursday) after school for one hour. We also perform at several events throughout the year. A highlight event being the RSD orchestra showcase in the spring.

    Coding Club

    In Coding Club students will have the opportunity to learn the basics of writing code! We live in a world surrounded by technology and their ability to succeed will increasingly hinge on understanding how technology works. Students will spend a majority of time on Code.org. Code.org uses Minecraft, Angry Birds and other popular games to help students learn the basics of writing code.  We will have two sessions, Fall (Wednesdays 3:15—4:15pm October 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th, Nov. 7th and Spring (TBD).
